Why wouldn't they design it to auto lock? I've used the remote start before and witnessed the car shutting off after ten minutes or so, standing next to it.

I have auto lock on my Corvette and at times, it's a real pain! I can't count the number of times that I have tried to retrieve something out of it when it is parked in the garage, only to discover that the doors won't open since I left the keys inside the house!
