Better Pics of My Supercharged '16 GT
#11
The setup is from Roush. With the shop I used it came to $9K., but that included a warranty that blends with Ford's to cover everything for 3/36. It sounds expensive until you see three large boxes of new parts that have to be installed including some modification of the front of the block. The original Ford parts, manifolds, hoses, etc. that were replaced filled a large wheelbarrow to get them to storage in my shed. With the Roush setup it is not just adding a supercharger & a few hoses. Roush says it takes their house mechanics 9 hrs. when they do them all the time. My guy says to do it carefully he uses 14 hours. From what I saw you'd have to do it a lot to get it down to 9 hours. My guy also spends quite a bit of time testing & driving the car because I live about 90 miles away.... & don't want any problems that far from his shop or on the way home.
