lol i fail to see how telling the OP to find another dealer who can get the job done correctly is being a "fan boy" but not all people have a firm grasp on the English language

So thank you all for your comments. I guess it is ok for our techs to abuse our cars as they feel needed? I have decided to not use the line lock, but if my car is in the shop they should be able to do it all they want?

at no point in your post did you say that they used your line lock, or were doing burnouts. you said that your fuel economy dropped from 18 to 12 and that they drove it for 9 miles on a test drive. i can drive a car spiritedly, and cause the mileage to drop, and do it all without spinning the tires, or abusing the car. so in fact, you have no proof that they ABUSED your car. if you did the comments in this post would be different. how can anybody agree with you when you havnt shown any proof of abuse.

it is common practice to test drive vehicles to verify a customer concern, and to also verify a repair.
btw, idling for 10 minutes may give you the same drop in mileage.
Sorry to hear about the door ding, will they fix it for you?

I get the same stuff when fixing copier machines. They want you to fix it but not run it and use their paper and toner. It has to be run to duplicate the problem and then run to assure the problem has been fixed but we're supposed to do this with magic.

lol ,yep the best one i ever had was on a new car prep, this is done before the customer takes delivery, basically you install any loose shipped parts and test drive it and test the operation of everything. the customer bought 3 rangers for a fleet, and said that under no circumstances were we to drive them, i had to do the inspection in the parking lot where the hauler dropped them. what a fruit cake that guy was

You feel that 9 miles is cool with all the cars under Ford warranty? Especially when none of it had to do with performance?

if you arent saying that they used it, then whats the point of posting this? unless its to bring up things that didnt happen to try to prove your point. like i said, show us some proof that they abused your car and we will agree with you. and how can you test for and verify a brake repair without test driving the vehicle? get a clue buddy.
