I never liked buying first production cars. That's why I waited for the '07. I'll wait until all the bugs are worked out before getting a newer model.

As I approach retirement, I am looking forward to buying either a used Shelby convert or a S550 GT ragtop.

I will know which one when I test drive the S550.

Definitely gonna miss my Mustang, but I know I'm gonna save up and get an amazing one in ten years or so. Or so I hope ha.
Can I ask where that Subaru dealer is? I can't seem to find any close to NW Ohio and it sounds like the only place that is giving big discounts is in Colorado (something like 1k under invoice), but that's quite a ways for me and I'd want to actually see/drive the car first. But its pretty much the same story for the Mustang. There are a lot more Ford dealers around here, but to get any kind of deal, it looks like you have to go up to MI or take a road trip to VA where they are advertising up to 9k off of Mustangs right now.

I retired last year, and I may have to go back to work next year to get a 2016 Mustang to go with my silver 2006 GT Premium. Ragtop sounds intriguing...

So plans may be changing for me. With some of the factory incentives going on right now on the 14's, I may go that route instead. And when comparing the cars, they both have features I like and dislike. The new one is sleeker, the old one is more bulked up/muscular. And with the potential savings, and the fact that I could have a 14 "soon" vs. getting a 15 next fall right before the snow flies and it gets tossed straight into storage...I'll go 14. I'm going in this coming weekend to look at what exactly they can do for me on a 14 and will leave a deposit on SOMETHING.

Default who will be the first

I had a 2013 GT and loved it but don't have it now. I was going to just wait a few years, more like 6, when I retired and get a new stang. Until I went to the new car show and I saw the 2015 Mustang. I contacted the dealer I go to and will be placing my order as soon as it is possible. Hopefully come August/Sept I will be driving it.

Default I am 68 and got to have it, one last toy.

I've owned, a 2002 Ford Lightning (643HP, 773tq) 2003 STV 10th Anniversary Cobra (aprox 500HP) and a 2010 GT Prem (stock).
Now with cash in hand, I WANT a 2015 GT Prem 5.0 in red or Ruby Red.

Yeah I am a little uneasy in this regard too, although my last two stangs were an 05 and 11 which were first year bodystyle/engine platforms. I was lucky enough not to run into many problems with either of them though.

Another big worry of mine is will Ford pull a drastic change on a second year car (like how they did with the 10 to 11 model). I am a sales manager at a Ford Dealership and an leaning toward ordering a new mustang here in the next couple months when 15 order become available. Fact is, I will definitely be kicking myself if they do a dratmatic change for 2016....
