I have tried to find out if all the work that was done to the new 5.0 is making more power. Best I have read is 430hp which is not really that much from the 420 hp in the current year. Does anyone know of anything different? Or if wanting more the only choice would be to go with the so called GT350 which is a lot more $$$$

well waiting til i get on the dyno next month but was told when i bought my 14 it has the Ford performance cold air ducting to stock air box. and Track key Tuning. Was told some Hp numbers but waiting to see it on the dyno. supposed to put it into the low 12's which is almost a 1/2 sec over the 13's. Just waiting for weather to improve so can hit the track soon.

stock 2014 low 12s? 1/2 a second faster than the 13's? someone was pulling your chain.
There are no performance differences between the 13s and 14s.
differences are:
2 new color choices in 2014 and black out appearance package offered. that's it.
Record sotck 1/4 mile for the 5.0 is 12.2@115. (Done at cecil which is a downhill track) next lowest is 12.4@112, which was done on a 2012 mustang.

actually yes the track key tune works on some 13s and 2014 Gt's with manual trans. it adjusts
Twin Independent Variable Cam Timing (TiVCT)
Engine braking
Ignition timing
Wide-Open Throttle fueling
Accelerator pedal map
Idle speed
Throttle response
plus has some other track options aviable thru your dash management screen.
and was given some #'s of what it should run but want to see for myself.
havnt made it to track yet do to weather issues. Hopefully soon.
But downfall to it is once i get into modding and add the N20. Ill be overrighting the programming. Just hope it dont cancel out the added track options. Time again will tell.

I just read that the '15 GT will have only 435hp but it "WILL" beat a Boss 302 around a race track. I also remember reading a while ago that it will have 420 when it first comes out but will get more later on in its first year...so, who knows? Lol

Likely from the same source you got that list of changes. It's a tune.
Track Key is an aftermarket dealer "installed" option, not considered stock.

yea its a tune, and air intake piece, that can be ordered as an option. So how is that not factory? Limited edition option for Manual only Gt's. Dealer activated or Not. just like ordering different gears,rims,track pack, etc. its an option. So it IMO still considered stock. Just like i think the Track key option on a Boss is Stock.
