Awesome, thanks for the pics and links!

I'm a bit surprised and disappointed that Ford decided to stick with the heavy and clunky 2-piece driveshaft like that of the S197. It's been proven to be heavy and add an extreme amount of rotational mass (more driveline drag and lower mpg) than the 1-piece available aftermarket.

Guess we'll see what the limits of it and the new half-shafts are.

I'm being told the driveshaft is quite a bit lighter than the 11-14 one. I'll have a weight on it shortly.

Lets see the Chevy guys yell throw a curve at it now. First thing Ford needs to do is come up with a cost effective package and go 1LE hunting.

let's see who is the first to break it at the drag strip? I bet it breaks with drag radials and a tune.

Everyone is worried about the half-shafts breaking cause the Chevy ones do, but we have a local guy in the 10's, running stock half-shafts on a 04 Cobra.
So I for one am hoping Ford will make its parts a little stronger than a typical Chevy.
