This will give the Chevy fan boys fits. Every since the 5.0 came out and the Camaro couldn't win a drag race stock vs stock anymore. Every Camaro owner is suddenly a road racer. All Camaro owners want to do is talk ring times now. I like the competition between the big 3 because we get better and better cars all the time so I hope the 6th gen . Camaro is smaller and liter like every thinks it's going to be.

Thats cool and all, but who cares really.
Does anybody know what that time means other than faster than a camaro?
Would yall still be impressed if say the gt350R ran a 20 min 32 sec lap compared to a camaro running a 21 min 02 sec lap?

I recall being questioned as to my sources on things like this. Horsepower Kings???
That aside... If the "R" really does lay down these times.... WOW. I know in searching for the article....I came across a post where the claim was there was originally an in the car video of the GT350R doing this lap and at some point in the video the car was sliding due to wet road surfaces. But, that poster said the video was taken down????
Which leaves me thinking...this might not be a hoax. Simply information Ford was not prepared to leak since its as per Jamal Hameedi and I'm paraphrasing here.... "Not a discussion they want to have right now".
So "me thinks"... there may be some truth to this claim. But since there really are no standards in place for these laps... for discussing it...why even take it there. You have to figure that on any given day even the Camaro z28 could pull this time. Besides again going back to Jamal Hameedi... the performance of this car is "MAGNATUDES FASTER" than the Boss 302. So its a safe bet that whatever they did is easily replicated without having to do attempts in the double digits.
