Default Cooled seats dont always cool?!

Hi,

Just received my new GT stang this morning and I love it!

There is the small issue of the cooled seats not always cooling though, as it's pretty hot today I had them on three bars all day but for some reason they didn't always cool, sometimes they did.... and others the seat was completely warm.

I was wondering if anyone experienced anything like this or knows why this could be happening?

Thanks

They might just be a fan to blow air instead of actual a/c'd stuff...but try to run the a/c on the floor setting.

Yeah I'm not impressed with them. The backs don't get cool at all. Only the bottom. Why have three settings when you can't really feel them on the highest setting...even with the AC on.

there's just a little blower in there to force some air through the perforations. it's not and isn't supposed to be a "chiller" or anything; it just helps prevent swamp ***.

There is a blower that moves air for each seat. The air is filtered and sent through a TED. This is the device that either heats or cools the air. Not a/c but does cool the air. Usually can expect to get about 8 degrees cooler air than what is under the seat. The reason you may feel it on and off while driving for longer periods with the system on the whole time is because the TED will cycle on and off. This is perfectly normal. It is meant as a supplement to the climate control system not an alternate. So don't think you can drive in 90 degree weather with the windows down and no a/c without sweating.

you are 100% correct.. we have 3 newer fords all with the cooled feature. they all work differently. on a scale of 1-10... The Expedition is amazing, it will actually make you turn it off high because your *** and back will be freezing. the F1 and the GT I can leave on high the entire time.

2013 F150 FX4 - 6
2015 Expedition - 10
2015 Mustang GT - 3

Just brought a '15 home today. Ambient temps were 91° (72° cabin) on the way home from the dealer. Starter with the seats on the mid setting but dropped to the lowest after about 15 minutes because the naughty bits were getting cold. Big thumbs up from me thus far.
