I'm no wrench, I don't claim to be... But I'm certain my GT premium non PP had the full rear on it from the factory. As I said it's defiantly metal not plastic. The one in the pic above shows if you had the plastic half brace it wouldn't come all the way to the drivers side. My pic clearly shows my stock unit coming all the way on the drivers side. It comes all the way across on the passenger side too, just doesn't pick up well in the pics.

Well damn brother, you got a freak, PP brace on a non PP car, at least that's what it looks like, clearly it would be a waste of time to swap it out.

I guess I lucked out... Lol... I'm half tempted to send it back. I'm gonna go ahead and install the one that goes across the top of the motor and call it good.

Side not: looks like I got a spare if anyone needs it. Lol...

It does connect to both. That pic just doesn't do it justice.

Hmmm. I just thought of something. Do you have the 20" wheels? There is something different about the strut towers when you have the 20" wheels that makes the top brace not fit, from what I've read. It's possible that without the PP and with the 20" wheels they give you the back brace. If that the case, you might be good with the factory back one.

However, from what I've read the top brace isn't supposed to fit if you have the 20" wheel option. I have no idea why and your pics make it look like there wouldn't be a problem but that's what I've read.

Sorry but that's all I've got. Sorry I have been much help.

Default Ford racing strut tower brace

That could be the key then. I read that there are one or two things different with the 20" package to beef up the corners. That must be one of them.

Keep an eye in the future when you order mods. Some of them say they do not fit with the 20". Don't remember what mods but I know I saw it.
