Default CAI

Is it worth changing out the OEM CAI on the 5.0 2015 model? Would there be any gains by doing so? I did add the Roush axle back system and am pleased with the sound.

Our cold air intakes should start shipping next week. Generally we don't advertise any horsepower numbers with intakes as they don't tend to create a solid gain by themselves. However the '15 seems to like the cold air intake.

I don't understand why you would install a cold air intake. There is already a cold air intake on the car from the factory, it pulls air from the front grill area which is outside the engine compartment. A less restrictive air intake might make a difference, but cold air is used from the factory.

I put one on my car after watching a few youtube videos of dyno pulls. They seam to ad about 10HP in the upper RPM range. CAI & Tune seam to equal about 400-410 to the wheels.

I don't think so despite the non objective tests made by the companies who profit from them. What would you expect from tests done by manufacturers! Even if they produce a little HP at very highest RPMs is are they worth the expense?? I think most people like the increase intake noise interpreting that noise as power!

Tuner yes, CAI no!

I spend as much time at Atco as I do bench racing on forums. High 11s at 115-116 is all the proof I need that the combo works. This debate has got boring to be honest. People have performed dyno test and nobody want to believe the findings so they are just stating their opinion with no actual experience to back it up. You guys that say they don't work. What experimentation have you done on your car?

Waste of money as the stock one works pretty damn good. Yes they make a few horsepower on a dyno with the hood open and a giant fan blowing on it. Real world conditions? Zippo. Nada.

I put one on... Along with a cat back and a tuner and I can notice a huge improvement over stock. I cannot comment on just the CAI alone.
