No comparison. If you don't consider potential cost differences, the pre-2015 isn't in the same league as the s550 when it comes to everyday driving and refinement. Even the drag racing guys aren't complaining about the IRS.

2015 premium automatic. The car is so much smoother than the S197. Interior is light years better. People say the S197 is faster in a straight line but I managed a 12.79 stock on all season tires on a 90 degree day. Did I mention I only had 500 miles on the odometer? Love the new car. Thought I'd miss the solid axle for drag racing but it hasn't been an issue.
