I ran a stock 06' GTO (claimed) when I had 295whp/308wtq, 3.55 gears/intake/tune and 20'' 275/35 rear tires. We rolled slowly off the line and both got into it fully at ~5mph. He grinned at me cause he knew that was in his favor. We hit second at the same time, still neck and neck, then hit 3rd still neck and neck. Around the top of 3rd gear I ran out of powerband still neck and neck, I looked over and he's grinning again cause he's starting to pull. I'm out of powerband and rolled over, at which point he did the hazard light lane change over into my lane and I let off. The extra 800-1k powerband I now have via the cams and that wouldn't have happened.

Much less the suspension setup I have now along with gears/tires etc. I would roast a stock LS2 goat now and keep pulling away from him.

It was still a close race... he didn't run away from me or anything. I still feel like crap about what I told him while we were stopped at the light. He asked me what mods and I told him "every bolt-on except a supercharger" lol. That was BS. I've cut major time, especially in the 60ft range with tires/suspension and gears. Along with cams that provide much more upper rpm range and power.
