Default s197 GT vs Sti

Me vs a stage 2 Sti.

apparently it has a pretty aggresive tune and the guy only street races.. refuses to go to the track.. and also apparently drives like a maniac (will do 120 in 35mph zones with traffic)

So i'm not even sure I should race him.. But he loves to race and my friend at work is wanting me to do it.. how do you think this will go down.

I might be getting some M&H Dragradials and lowercontrol arms soonish.

If he's gonna do 120mph on grand ave. or 24th then I wouldn't do it.

Your life is to important. Forget about the car.

IMO it's a driver's race. He has an advantage on the launch but not so much on the top end.

MT got a 4.5 second 0-60 and a 13.0 1/4 mile time for the STI. I believe that was for an 06.

I think his is an 06. I stuck a link on there just now. You can look there it makes a reference. It could ofcourse be wrong but I doubt it. I'll see if I can look up the article online.

i did a little searching on an 06 stage 2 sti:

Cobb Stage 2 STi the numbers will generally range from 290AWHP/300+WTQ and about 310+AWHP/330AWTQ with a good protune.

and his isn't dyno tuned.. mail order tuned refined with data logging I believe.

To close to call. Both have high 12 second potential.

I dunno...I don't see your car even going in low 13's unless you definitely have some tires. You just aren't putting enough hp or tq to the ground with pretty much no mods. I think he's got you both ways. Especially with a tune.

I read your mods wrong, so you do have a low 13 car, but maybe stretchin it on 12's. Too close to call as beast said

Holy crap did you see the 1/4 mi time for the 04 Forrester 2.5T. I was considering getting my wife on of these it may have just moved up the list. That's rediculous for a 4 cyl CUV.
