I've also been curious as to why my trap speed is so anemic. Even on crappy 60's, I don't trap above 100.XX....
mrtstang, I'm sure you already know you'd be running damn near rock bottom 13's with some DR's and a hell of a launch.. ditch those sumis next time.

My best ET so far was 13.504 @ 102.35 w/ a 2.103 60' time. I am running an auto w/ stock 3.31 gears and stock tires. Was ran with the mods in my sig (except the LCA's).

I normally run solidly in the 13.6x range. But my car is not too comparable to yours lol

More boost+timing
Car ran 13.9x before the FMIC, first time to the track after the FMIC I dropped to 13.6x and gained a couple mph. The car has more in it, but I haven't played with shift points any, I just shift at 5500 to make bracket racing easier.

Always watch your weather and try to track the DA... I was running 13.4 @ 104mph and 13.5 @ 105mph (repeatedly) on a track day a few years back when the DA was 3200+ ft... went I went in negative or slightly above 0 DA my times were all in the low 13s. Something to keep in mind... but I will second the being close to maxed out with your mods thing... driving and weather can always take off a little more with practice and luck but at some point you will hit a wall.

I just ran last night at Milan Dragway here in Michigan, which is apperantly 593 ft above see level, and ran some crazy trap speeds. (106-108 n/a & 115-116 N2O).
What was interesting is that i ran this track last year and had a best of 13.6 @ 104 w/2.1 60ft. This year i ran a best of 13.6 @ 108 w/2.2 60ft.
Now... the only two things that were different was that i had headers installed, and the temp was about 50 degrees outside vs 80 last year.
This really makes me wonder if the track was just off last night.

I ran a 13.7@102 with my current mods 1st time at the track. I did it on 20's with a 2.3 60ft time. The wheels definately slow me down. I have mac longtubes, mac o/r prochamber, pypes mid muffler exhaust, frpp cams, steeda cai, tokico adj shocks and struts, eibach sportline springs, stock gears and rear end. The car dyno'd a 331rwhp and 333rwt on a mustang dyno.
