An unbelievable v6 time.... literally
#11
the calculator I uses suggests 13.4 @ 101
anyway its NOT possible that a cai/tune V6 is going to produce V8 time slips, IMHO. The 4.0 V6 is a high 14 second car on average, a tune is not droping those times by over a second.
and I've never been to a track that allowed passengers!

I've only been to a few tracks, as they are few and far between here, but I have never seen one allow passengers. Even at the Flashlight Drags, which is similiar to pinks on an airstrip, doesn't allow passengers, much less a sanctioned track. At any rate, I was under the impression that an 8.5 was low 13s...like 13.2ish.
As I have said many times, I do not doubt that they gave her the time slip, and I do not doubt that they shined an 8.5 in bright lights. What I doubt is their timing equipment. I have told her this time and time again. There is no way with her minor mods she's beating lightly modded GTs. But since I don't have a lot of time at the strips, I came to where I knew people had been there and done it.
And yes, Kara, if it wasn't a big deal, you wouldn't have argued about it for 3 days saying you did it and that rygen said it was possible. Correct? ;]

And to level the playing field... Kal from CF has a 1999 Camaro v6 with UMI LCAs, QA1 shocks, weighs 400 pounds less than her Mustang, is running CAI, Headers and back, 3.42 LSD, ported intake and tuned, and runs a 9.2.....or 14.4 1/4th....

Yeah.. she got pretty similiar times as me with my CAI/Tune (DA adjusted).. she is hiding n20
Our track allows passngers, their rules state:
Yellowstone Drag Strip is an NHRA sanctioned track; therefore we will follow the guidelines of the NHRA rulebook. All vehicles must be NHRA legal.
Passengers allowed in racecars that run 13.99 and slower only. Passengers must wear the same helmet as required of the driver. Passengers under 18 must have signed parental release form. No passengers allowed during elimination rounds.

I dunno, anything is possible. She could've bought a Gt and not known it.. Check how many cylinders you have on each side.
Video deffinately would help... or a 1/4 mile run, her car may be decent up to 60, but third gear could be really really long and slow her down to a 14ish 1/4.

Our track here is a NHRA track, and they allow passengers on street night, but you have to race alone (ie only one car will go down the track if it has a passenger)
I don't know why though

What are the 6ers usually trapping in the 1/8th with similar mods? What was the 330' time? Give us all the slip info so we can better analyze it.
