The Acura NSX
89K$ for a 290 horse power 3,100 pound car. Am I missing something?
Ive seen this car pull on a Ferrari 355 ( 380hp)
The car looks nice yes, and its got nice interior and excellent cornering but 89K!?? why! ( 2005 model)
2001 Acura NSX V6 4.5 12.9 (C&D TV 2001)
12.9 ?! ET!!!

Don't know, you'd think they would have given it more power, but I guess for what it's main purpose is it's sufficient (I guess).
The new (don't know if it will be produced, I've heard conflicting reports, and haven't looked into it lately) NSX will be powered by a 5.5 liter 10 cylinder (IIRC) and create 550 whp and redline around 10K RPMs. Saw a video of it on Edmunds. Seems pretty stout. I guess they are (were?) trying to compete with the GTR, although that model that they were testing on the "Ring" was about 6 seconds slower, but that wasn't the full production model, so we'll probably see some tweeking if it actually comes out. Looks badass, but I don't know the pricetag.
Also, this new NSX will be getting away from the mid engine design of the past, and be going with a Front engine rear wheel drive set up. A lot of people were pissed about that.

If they produce one with a 5.5L v10 and 550rwhp stock, I'll buy it

I think you are missing the fact that this version of the car came out over a decade ago and at the time it was plenty quick.
It's also regarded as one of the sweetest handling cars in history. Great balance and terrific steering feel. It use to win buff book super car comparisons all the time, even thought it was down on power.
You must be to young to remember but just a few years ago a super car didn't come with 600hp. Hell the Viper use to dominate acceleration statistics with 400hp.
