Have a buddy who bought a G8 GT a few months back. Ever since then all he does is talk **** about how great his car is. I agree its a very nice car, but I've owned my GT since 03 and have never talked **** about how much better it was to there cars/trucks, just a D move in my opinion. Problem is now he wont race me, why IDK. Just wanted to get your opinions on what you think the match up would be like. My stangs just has a few bolt-ons, TB/P, CAI and a short throw, plus some decent sticky goodyear eagle f1's tires. Looking for a race from a dig to 120 or so. So how do you think the race will turn out? I'm thinking neither one of use is gonna pull on the other, and will be basically side by side the whole way.

He'll pull on ya, man. If you had some 3.73s or 4.10s you'd probably be able to stay close to him in a 1/8th mile race, but you'd still probably fall back considerably past that point. As is though, he's gotcha IMO. Your car still looks and sounds better though!

those things have like 365 hp i believe but weigh alot so who knows. i would deff do a few more mods before i raced him though

Yes i know...

But we've rode in it when he gets on it...And to tell you the truth it pulls pretty good, but it feels just as hard as my car. That's why I told him we just need to race. I mean my car is no way fast, as most GT, its just faster than others. I just want to show him that ya his car is pretty fast, but my little GT could hang with em. Even if I lose, I cant see it being by a huge margin. I've race my brother laws trailblazer SS, and when it was stock, i was able to put a couple cars on him when playing on the freeway. But I guess will never no, cuz he doesnt want to man up and race, he just wants to talk sh*t all day and pick on escorts and honda's.

If he's your friend he's probably just goofing around and giving you a hard time... friends do that.

Three of my friends have FI on their 07 GTs (two turbos and one paxton) and they always rip on me for having the slow car... No big deal, it's what friends do.

I'm a better baseball/basketball player and I rip on my friends when I make a three on them or hit a homerun... some thing, different venue.

I wouldn't worry too much about him... if he won't race, just tell him that he can't say his car is faster since he won't prove it.

Most likely, that's what it is. I always do that to my friends. Like my buddy that has an '04 GT, or my other buddy that has an '06 Cobalt. It's all in good fun.

dude, all of my friends are like that (well, most of them)... I do have one friend that will not race me (off the juice) because it'd be a pretty close race (he has a 99 cobra with a few bolt-ons). I egg him on all the time, Call his crap slow... He doesn't race cause he knows it pisses me off!

That's just what friends do tho.
