Alright, every time i race other Mustangs on the street we usually race 0-km or 40-km or 80-km... well i got my '07 Mustang GT and when i race it on 40kph roll, i put it into 1ST gear, as soon as the 3rd horn goes ...(stop) this is the part i don't know what to do EXACTLY, usually this is what i do.
beginning of 2nd horn i quickly step on the clutch pump Rpm AND ON THE 3RD HORN i release the clutch and ya (i feel more power), but there are other way i heard i could just tap on the clutch on the 3rd horn, and some people tell me don't need to touch the clutch , just hit the GAS, and when i just hit the gas i seriously don't feel as much power if i were to hit the clutch in.
So i really need help here i don't what to do. Properly

Go ahead and get in the gear you need to be in before the honking begins. Make sure you're in a gear that has you're RPMs well into your powerband, but not so high that you have to immediately upshift. You may be feeling a surge when you do what you've been doing, but thats all it is. Chances are you're losing time messing with the clutch as well as getting your car out of its powerband.

I used to tap the clutch real quick and give it gas, then engage the gear in my 05 SRT-4 and it would give it a nice jump in boost. Essentially getting the RPMs to climb higher then normal, then engage the gear to make it catch on a higher RPM...
