The Genesis is a very different animal. My boss test drove one and was impressed with the power, fit and finish.
In the new Hot Rod they tested a few new Camaros. The V6 went 14.2 @ 100 and the V8 went 12.9 @ 112. IIRC the V6 was an auto, the V8 was a manual. I'll have to check to be sure though.

I hear alot of that, but Im going to have to experience it first hand before i believe it...and even if it ran 10s i wouldnt buy a hyundai. give it a year, no matter what kind of animal it is, its still a hyundai. my guess is that its like many DSMs...it has some ***** when it runs right; which is only for so long..then the carriage turns back into a rotting pumpkin.

Geez. With trap numbers like that, they'll be in the mid 12's easy with just some dr's and probably in the low 12's with a tune and cai. Sucks i have to had to spend 7 g's just to catch up to the new camaro. But, i luv my car anyway.
The cars theses day are bad azz. If i had the money i would also get a new camaro and challenger.

I just checked, both Camaros were 6 speed manuals.
3.5L V6: $22,995 14.29 @ 100.85 mph
6.2L V8: $30,995 (Yes they really do sell for that, no markup, I went to the dealer Wednesday) 12.95 @ 112.92 mph

31k for a 420 hp rear wheel drive V8 muscle car. lol. Don't get me wrong i love Mustangs (obviously i own one) but wouldn't it cost more than 31 grand to buy a new gt, and mod it to give it 400+ hp?

I don't know all the facts about the new Camaro, but it appears to be a better deal overall.

i skimed a C&D? article that compared the genesis to the camaro. the gist i got from it was that the only reason to buy the genesis was if you thought the camaro was either "too juveniel" or a person that is staunchly opposed to owning an american car.

And that article was comparing the v6 camaro. I admit if i was in the new car market right now i would by the camaro over the mustang. However, i used to be a camaro guy. My car is still cheaper because i bought it used but the new camaro is a great deal.
