They were trapping 102-105 so 13.2 is all you're going to get looks like.

The SRT8 Jeep will lose to a SRT8 Challenger, if the Challenger is driven to it's maximum capabilities. Not to mention, the SRT8 Jeep will rape the Mustang GT, Trailblazer SS, etc. The SRT8 Jeep isn't just some run of the mill Jeep.

Yeah stop light to stop light these things shine and getting out of 1st gear without any spin on the street requires a lot of finesse... I would have to decline any runs to < 60mph as it would be a waste of gas for me (he would take it every time)... They tend to trap 80~81mph in the 1/8th with 8.3~8.5 1/8ths.. I am pulling 8.5 ~ 8.6 @ 84~85mph 1/8ths.

Example: Right lane is SRT8 Jeep - Bone Stock.

wasnt baggin' on the Jeep <eyeroll> and at 13.2-13.5 the challenger driver better know what he's doing or he WILL lose to the jeep.

Small update... new guy is in the office today doing training and I was chatting with him a bit. It's pouring outside right now and we were laughing about how bad he would destroy me today. Since I plan on dynoing the car on Friday he was asking about what I thought I would make at the tires... he guessed 270rwhp and his expression was priceless when I said it was a generous dyno (2006 A4 LS2 GTO with a tune made 361rwhp) and I was thinking more around 320rwhp. Then I told him what I ran at Cordova... he quickly quoted Edmunds high 13s are barely over 100mph and said the timers must be way off at Cordova or something.

Something tells me I am really going to enjoy the first time we get to line up.

Ya need to bitch slap that magazine racer. He's probably never even seen a drag strip before.

I've never actually raced but according to my dyno numbers. I should run 8s on street tires.

He hasn't... which is going to make this all the better. I do have him talked into hitting up the track rentals with me this fall so that should be fun. Going for a ride after work (first GC SRT8 ride)... really looking forward to it.

The GCSRT8s are nasty...I had one before I lost it in the divorce which I just found out it got traded in for a family car of some kind. Makes me sick. I had several bolt-ons on the car and it was a beast out of the gate. It beat-up on my Bullitt pretty good. Goodluck with the strip, it should be interesting and alot of fun.

I've raced a few at the strip. The fastest stock run I saw was a 12.8. I thought they were a 13.2 vehicle. The weather was perfect I ran my personal best of 12.76
The one that ran 12.8 was bone stock. The guy driving it said it was his wife's and she thought he took it to a friends house. He was itching to see what it would do. I was impressed.

.25 seconds in the 1/4 mile isn't rape.

S8ER01Z: The guy sounds like a serious magazine racer. I bet he can't drive his Jeep to it's fullest, and you'll eat him alive.
