What do you guys think I need to beat him? He's a real toolbag and I'd hate to lose to him I'm talking a race from like 40 to 100 not all the way until 140+

Yes both cars are , but I really think it's an earlier style magnum because it doesn't even say r/t. Don't those have Less hp?
Anyhow, from a ~40ish roll thats a dead spot for our autos so that'll work out in your advantage. The 5.7 is pretty evenly matched for the 99-04 2V Mustang (they both turn out the same E.Ts but I think the 5.7s pull higher traps). I say keep it to dig races if you are beating him, but running him from a roll would probably make it closer with the slight edge to him.
Edit: Don't know why I was thinking they didn't have R/T badges on them, but they do (walked outside and checked the Magnum that always parks next to me lol).

He'll get you from a roll unless 40 mph happens to be a sweet spot for you. Sub has already stated that its a dead spot for the R/T, so that will help you some..... but don't expect too much. If you had a manual trans, you guys would probably be about even depending on drivers. You really need some 4.10s and full exhaust to pull him up top..

Ok so this **** talking co-worker of mine has been talking all this crap about how his dodge magnum is the big dog on campus. <--LOL
Well around lunch time. (Everytime) He does annoying burnouts and speed offs coming off the parking lot. Everyone eggs me to race him.
So I took off and made it to a redlight with him dead on my ass trying to do the lame-sauce flyby. Light turns green and I nail the gas and see him trying to pass me with him holding his on and slowly me pulling away at higher speeds I'd say about 50-60 from the way I was slowly pulling him.
So its been established I can take him on from a stop. But what about from a roll? He wants to take it to the highway? He has a stock magnum and it isn't an R/T, just says "hemi" on the side of it.

Diablo Tune
Royal purple oil an filter
K & N filter.
Do you guys think he can beat me? Both cars are auto.
I think the Royal Purple oil and filter and K&N filter rank right up there with stickers and TB spacers.
Anyways, if it's a Hemi with no badges, it's an R/T as previously mentioned. In 05 the Magnum R/T was a 330 HP brick.

yeah if worst comes to worst I'll get someone to do it for me if I can't but me and my bud have all the tools including and engine hoist.. What kind of headers would you guys recommend? Bbk? Also what kind of gains can I expect from headers and my testpipes but stock catback? Is it really noticeable? And will gas mileage improve or get worst?
