BBK is fine, just make sure you use a Dremel or similar grinder to remove any welding slag. BBK is kind of known for leaving some behind and its rumored to get recirculated thru the EGR and back into the engine. Not so sure if its true or not, but its still worth removing I guess. You'll probably pick up 10-15 rwhp, it varies. Your broadened power band is where it really helps imo. Peak gains are for show. Gas mileage changes shouldn't be noticeable, but if anything you'll get better mileage once tuned.

How do you feel about doing a gear swap? You'll get a lot more acceleration gain from some 4.10s, and it would cost less too. Only down fall is about a 3 mpg loss.

If your going to go with headers, get a midpipe and install both at the same time. You really need 4.10's for that auto though. The 4.10's will make the biggest seat of the pants difference.

Testpipes are installed already. I have gears in a box it's called motive I think it's been awhile, they are 3.90s . But this is my DD , and if mods are done they have to be done in consideration I won't be raped in gas mileage lol. Good news is he wa ts to go from a stop. Gears would be the vest way to go on this and I know for sure but since he wants to go from a dig, I can perhaps look into a steada intake an an acufab throttlebody . I really don't want to gear it because I know if we raced on the hghway I'd lose? So I figured well **** try mods like headers intake and a throttlebody kit.

Get gears you wont regret it. As for highway speeds making it slower, I think with my 4.10s and half throttle is about as good as my old full throttle. Gas millage really wasnt effected to much(at least not a noticeable amount).
Just need to find a good shop to install em.

trust me get the gears on and adjust your shift points with the tuner and watch what a difference that will make.

It has always ran me around $250 to get them installed here in NC. I've had 4 cars done for that price. Don't forget to order a speed cal from AmericanMuscle.com or wherever you like to shop, unless you have/prefer a handheld.
