Default Vortech'ed 04 GT vs. SRT-4 vs. 05 GT

A buddy of mine just left the local speed shop from getting his 04 GT dyno tuned with a vortech v2. My question is who will win in a race between him who dynoed 347/351 on 6 lbs against my other friend and my self if we had a 3 way race, the SRT-4 has a down pipe and boost controller, my mods are in my sig.... we would do a 40 roll....lmk thanks

He will spank both of you, bad. BB can answer whether or not you can handle that SRT-4, but I'm thinking you should come in 2nd, behind the Vortech, but ahead of the SRT.

I'm surprised you wouldn't be able to figure this one out. 347hp/351lbs vs 311hp/330lbs not to mention the new edge is a couple pounds lighter. what psi is the skittle running?

From a roll you only have 2 mods that are going to do anything. The longtubes and the tune..

The O/R X-pipe helps also.

My buddy who got the vortech was the one who posted this under my name since he didn't remember his own name. From a roll, I know I would beat the SRT if we race to a certain mph. Definitely beat him from a dig. From 35 I have the disadvantage against the SRT cause hes already in boost and that's my dead spot.

The Vortech mustang was told he should run prob around a 12.5 which is about .3 better than what I should on street tires. He mostly wanted to know about the SRT because they always seem to be in competition with how fast their cars are.

Shouldn't be too bad with only 30 more hp even though he is lighter. Maybe .5 seconds at the most.

Half a second is a pretty hefty lead. On the track, with both of you guys running a street tire, he should trap much higher, but I doubt your ETs would be more than 3 tenths apart, depending on traction. If he can hook it or at least get a 2.0 and hold it thru all the gears, that half second lead should present itself. A half second is over a bus length in the 1/4. In a street race and/or roll race where you guys are pulling +105mph, that Vortech is going to really open the gap on you.

How much boost is he pushing? He should be able to make at least 400 rwhp with that set-up, as long as he's intercooled, tuned well, etc.

Well then he either needs some suspension mods or a new driver because there are quite a few guys in the modular section with n/a 2vs (no heads or cams) running low 13s high 12s. I would hope with an extra 100hp there would be a difference of more than .5 in the 1/4
