Default R32 vs Bullitt

So my boss is in the market for a new car, well not entirely new, something used. First it was a wrx, then a B5 S4, and now a R32. I was telling her that I was hanging out with a few buddies last night that drive Audi's. One has a B5 S4 and the other a A6. Anyways, she starts talking about the R32 she's going to go look at and tells me that she'd smoke me in everything. I know in the twisties she'd probably would, I only have lowered my car and have the Bullitt suspension, which isn't much; but I told her in a 1/4 she's toast and a roll till bout 120mph where I like to shut things down, no use going faster than that here in the Bay Area. Eventually, we agreed that it would be a fair match, but I know she thinks it would favor her. Stock for stock I think these cars are even, but she's never driven a manual! I'm hoping that she'll get it so I can race her, but what do you guys think?

You should walk that Golf no problem. I believe MKV R32's trap around 97-98mph. I'd say she may come back to you well into triple digit speeds but both cars are not fast enough to justify racing to those speeds.

Yea I dont see why you'd have a problem with a R32. You have a little more HP and less weight stock. They are AWD though so it might be able to gain a slight advantage out of the hole. With your suspension bits and pieces I dont really see it running off on you in the twisties either.

I've never actually raced but according to my dyno numbers. I should run 8s on street tires.

Like BB said they don't even break 100 in the 1/4 mile so I doubt you'll have too many problems. The AWD will also kill it from a roll. Once you're ahead you're gunna stay ahead.

I've seen a few times stock R32's trap just above 100. Sorta like a new Edge.

Your car will handle an R32 in all of those areas, imo. The awd is only good for the launch and for bad weather, other than that it just adds weight and sucks power. Those R32s are still badass little cars and sound sick. A bit overpriced for what they are though.

R32 is a decent car, i hate most VW's though the one my wife owns is absolute garbage.
the R32s can be made to be sick little performers, but with your mods you shouldn't have one bit of problem with the R32.

B5 S4's are sweet little cars, but maintaining them can be a bit of a pain, but a pair of Ko4's from and RS6 and a new ECU and it's an 11 second car.

I've raced a new r32 off a roll to about 90 and i beat him, not by a lot, prob near 2 cars. I didnt think i would win being auto but i did! If its the mk5 body(newer body style), they dont come in stick. You should be fine, but off the line is where she can get you
