Thumbs up GT vs GT

It happened this morning on my way to work at a fourlane stop light. A white GT had passed me on before the light, and luck would have it we caught the red and we were side by side.

So I'm wondering how much a difference my mods have made. C&L cold air intake, re-tune to 93, for racing exhaust, Hurst short shifter.

So at the green, I leave him in the dust, three car lengths before 3 rd gear, and pulling away quickly. We pulled next to each other down a ways and at two more reds and talked about what he had, which was pure stock.

So the mods seem to be worth it, GT to GT. It was interesting to see him pulling gears in my rear view mirrors, lots of fun. A to be quite honest, I really didn't push it that hard.

:-)

With both drivers being equally adept, it SHOULD have been a bit more even with definately still having the edge. But a nice, similar challenge is always fun.

I have been really impressed by the difference a tune makes to the car, it feels like a completely different animal

I picked up about .3 with my extensive modifications. Shifters don't make a difference (comfort and confidence). In my exeperience, exhaust is mostly for sound (don't chew my head off guys). Headers make a difference too. vvvvv

I think the shifter makes a pretty decent difference, Buster. I noticed a pretty good average gain at the track with mine, once I got good with it.

The tune and short throw is what would set you guys apart performance wise.

I would think the tune and intake had more of an effect than the short throw, but hey I might just be talking out of my ass.
