With the stock converter my car runs 12.7-12.9 @ 108-109 (almost 110), depending on weather. If I were to get a fairly aggressive stall then I could theoretically drop up to a half second from my ET while gaining little or maybe even nothing on the trap speed, depending on how efficient the converter is on the top end.
Jesus, that's quick with so little mods.. I honestly had no idea they were that quick.
The can't be faster then the SS can they??
Seen both a LS1/Firebird and an SS both run 13.7-13.9s at my track..

USMC, my best was actually 11.5 @ 116 on a 1.52 60 foot. The car has now been 11.4 @ 117 with a little more tuning. The $3000 is about right, but remember I used almost all used parts and calling a few favors on certain things. However I do feel that my car could be copied for around $3-3500 with some wise shopping.

The SS's were not any heavier, the options were things like shocks, hood, spoiler, wheels (I guess those might be a tiny bit heavier), air lid, cat back.

They may have been stock LS1 cars with traction issues, the best my car ran when stock was 13.52 but I ran a lot of 13.7-13.9 passes with warmer weather and/or terrible launches on rain tires.
As far as power is concerned, relying on chassis dynos can be misleading since they can say pretty much anything. With my mods my car threw down 296 rwhp on a Dynojet, which is typical for a stock LS1. Obviously my trap speed shows that my car makes more power than it did when stock (best stock trap was 105.7). Although stock 6-speed LS1 cars have trapped about what my modded auto does now.

that'd damn quick NA. Would you say those times are based on how strong the motor is or everything combined ?( suspension, tires, driver ability etc.)
I have always wanted to drop an LS1 into an FD RX-7 body, 4 speed/stalled (3k)
I had a project waaay back in 03 but it never went through, had the chassis, engine/tranny ECU out of the car and everything.. I was a little too.. umm, " noobish" back then to ever have completed it...
For an FYI for you, my old car on a stock suspension, bolt on/stall only, was going 7.9's in the 1/8th. On the couple passes I made on the car with a 75hp dry shot, it was going mid 7's with a 1.6x short time on Nitto DR's. I think it could have broke into the 6's after the cam swap. IMO, that was a very cheap and effecient setup. I also had a 3600 stall, versus some of the bigger ones a lot of guys go with. Stock suspended cars can leave HARD.
I looked at a few RX-7's with big cam LS1's in them before I picked up the Vette....those guys are PROUD of their cars and want $20+k for them. But man how fun would that be.
