Default 1/4 time estimates?

My friend has a 91 notchback that he is in the process of swapping in a 4.6 4v out of an 01 cobra. He got the engine and trans(T45 I think) out of his cousins 01 cobra that he wrecked, so he got both for $2500. The engine has the FR500 cams, MAC LTs, and a custom dyno tune on the ECU. IIRC the cobra threw down a little over 350/350 whp/wtq. He has the crossmember to fit the 4.6 in the fox, o/r x pipe, borla mufflers, tubular CAs in the front, manual steering wrack, upper and lower CAs in the rear, eibach drag springs, strange shocks, full length weld in subframe connectors, and 3.73 gears in his built 8.8. The swap is still a few weeks away from being done, so he isn't sure if the track will be open when he gets it done. I was wondering if anybody has seen anything like his car at the track and knows what kind of numbers it'll put up on the boards. The reason I ask is because it's not like a regular pushrod that has peak hp at like 6K rpms, this thing revs all the way to 7k rpms and makes power all the way so it's powerband it unique for a fox. Assuming he uses MT ET street radials and can pull 1.7-1.8 60s, what do you guys think?

All I know is that bastard stole my idea LOL. When his cousin wrecked the cobra a few months ago I told him I wanted the engine to swap it into the 86. My buddy got the 91 notch a few weeks ago and gave him 2500 bucks the next day. I was pissed.

Haha, yes that is a heck of a price for a 4V & tranny, a cammed one at that! Oh well, let him enjoy the headaches of getting the huge mod motor to fit, and wired up

I think the wiring is whats gunna be the hardest, hes got a 2.5" cowl hood so the engine fits right on that special crossmember, and right under the hood with no problems. The kid is a wiz at wiring **** though, he helped me ghetto rig my nitrous until I feel like having the 1st gear lockout and window switch and all that little stuff wired up.

window switches are easy to wire up, and you can buy them used off of corral for cheap

Thats an awesome swap, he could propbably go with steeper gears yet, but I would assume mid to low 12's if he can drive

He's a pretty good driver with his 306 in the notch he was running high 11s on a GT40 headed car with a custom cam and a carb. He had the gears in the 8.8 from when he had the pushrod, but he said he might have them swapped out for 4.10s or maybe 4.30s if he feels he needs it. The really cool part is he has to whole cobra sitting behind his gargae so he can pull all the little **** he needs off of it as he goes.

I'd say high 11's at around 115mph.

I'm think low-low 12s. I wouldn't rule out high 11s. I'm thinking 115ish too. Should get interesting. +1 on wiring that thing up, yikes!

Low 12's is my guess.

Make sure he adjusts his DA accordingly. Want to make sure we get the best guesstimate out of his car.

Good deal on the 01 Cobra drive-train. Not bad at all.
