Default 01 V6 vs buddies 05 G35

My buddy likes to talk a lot of trash about the G35 mommy and daddy bought him. He knows nothing about cars, and I'm assuming doesn't know how to launch or seriously shift fast but he talks about taking it to the strip and racing me. He always talks it up about how fast it is and how sick it is, he seriously thinks its the best car ever. Its an 05 G35 6 speed bone stock on 19's. My car will have intake, exhaust, tune, udp, lca's, 8.8 rear end. I ran a 16.1 before the udp 8.8 and lca's. How bad do you think I'll get beat? I know I can't beat him but surprising him would be great.

Friend has one, you are going to get pulled on, and badly. Even if you improve to say 15.2 which is .9 tenths better then previously, and quite frankly unrealistic. He will still beat you by probably a full second... Its going to be several cars.

Damn. I know his car is much faster than mine, I guess I'm just going to have to hope he spins alot at the line or misses a shift or something.

if you are going to do your rear end then why not get 4.10's? it should help out alot. Odds are, your going to get killed. but who knows, if hes terrible at driving, anything can happen. be sure to take out your spare tire! haha

Your assuming he's a terrible driver. My question is what kind of a driver are you? Any strip experience? Those G35s are mid 14 second cars with a decent driver.

I've never actually raced but according to my dyno numbers. I should run 8s on street tires.
