Hey my cousin just bought a 97 prelude vtec with a couple bolt ons. It has headers, CAI, Exhaust, and UDP's. He's coming down to my city tomorrow(Friday) to visit some of the family and he wants to race me against my 5.0. I don't have anything in the engine just a stock 5.0 with K&N intake. I was wondering if anyone had experience racing preludes before? I'm pretty sure I'm going to win I just went through a couple videos on youtube and saw that mustangs are generally faster then preludes. Both mine and his are automatic. Should I rev up to 3k RPMs and then take off or just do a normal take off? Thanks for the help. I'll let you guys know what the result is. I'll possibly have my brother video tape it and i'll post that up as well if I get a video.

im sure ull be fine against the prelude

Yeah that's what I was talking about. I was going to hold the brake and rev up to about 3k RPMs until the 3rd honk and take off or is that to high of RPMs? and should I race him from a roll as well or will he beat me from a roll?

From the dig should be more advantageous to you. Your low end torque will get your moving faster from the dig. H22 makes all of its power up high in the RPM band, so roll race will give prelude even more advantage.
