Default NE GT VS SS/SC

Snowed in so I figured I would make a thread.

I used to have an 01 GT,5spd, O/R-X, Catback dumped, programmer, Pulleys, Cai, TB/Plenum, Cai, and 4:10's.

Anyways I fell like it could take me a bit of the line but after we build some speed I would walk past it. Roll I feel like I would walk away, esp after ~80mph, the 2v isn't the best topend.

How do you guys think I would fair against a complete bolt-on (long tubes, etc) 99-04 GT? Would a Vert really be noticeably slower with the same mods?

How about one with cams?

I haven't been to the track on my new setup, though ricer racing it should trap ~106-107mph if that helps.

You make about as much or more wheel horsepower...so I bet from a dig you will have to play catch up but from a roll.....yeah.......

With cams, it'll be closer, especially if they have gears. Like you-may-not-catch-one-by-the-1/4stripe close.

I agree with 99gtvert. A cammed gt can definantly trap 106-107, so it could be very close at that point.

I think running one with cams, gears, and full bolt-ons from a roll would make for the closest run. Should be a a good drivers race under those conditions.

Full boltons 260-265 hp, with cams 280-290 in general. Weight is around 3300lbs. for a coupe, and 3400-3500lbs. for a vert.

Weights my advantage..around 2900lbs. I just had someone telling me there was this ~03-04 Vert GT with ~gears and a midpipe that was saying his car was faster. I would know the outcome to that just had me wondering about GT's in general.

This sounds dead on to me too.

No doubt, you are much lighter. I'd imagine traction would be the main thing to trigger a loss on your part.

From a dig, that geared/mid-pipe GT might jump out a couple cars at first while yo struggle to hook, but I don't see why you would have any trouble running it down.

I have progressive boost reduction in 1st so I don't really have that much of a problem from a dig. Plus by spring I will have 2step launch control with NLS and fresh tires.

What's your prediction from a 40 roll. lol

Gotcha, what do you expect to run this spring?

From a 40 roll, I wouldn't think he'd stand a chance, lol. Should be pretty ugly, imo. Does he want to run, or just talking?
