Default Difference in 800hp supra and a 1200hp supra

They both run 9's or so it would seem. I'm seeing alot of 800hp/9sec supra videos out there but when I watched the Japanese tuned 1268hp Supra run 9.81 I started having my doubts.

Also I'm seeing supra's go up against Hyabusa's which are able to run high 9s stock.

So how does a 800hp Supra actually stack up?

The current world's fastest production car is the SSC Ultimate Aero, and it goes like mid 9's on street tires with around 1200something horsepower. A Busa with a good rider can go low 9's. An 800hp car could go high 9's with good rubber if it didn't weigh too much. It's all in the weight and the setup, NHRA Pro Stock are around 1,350hp and they go high 6's at just over 200mph in good air.

The difference forced induction makes past 3K ft elevation is amazing it suffers a lot less then N/A for performance.

and here are the numbers

2006 Kawasaki ZX-14 motorcycle 9.65 sec @ 153 mph
2006 SSC Ultimate Aero TT 9.9 sec @ 144 mph
2006 Bugatti Veyron 10.2 sec @ 141 mph
2007 Honda CBR600RR motorcycle 10.6 sec @ 133 mph
2007 Factory Five Racing GTM 11.0 sec @ 132 mph
2005 Ford GT 11.2 sec @ 131 mph

Faster then anything I will ever own? Nah I could easily own a $12K motorcycle.

That's right. If you wanna go fast a sports bike is the best bang for the buck on the planet.

supras are not designed to be track cars in the least bit. getting them to hook isn't easy, plus all the ones that make decent power swap out to a large single turbo so it's got quite a bit of lag before it really makes power(not track friendly here either).
There's an old joke of: how are a 400hp supra and a 600hp supra similar? they both run 12's. IMO supra's are good for only 2 things. Dyno competitions and Highway rolls.

800-1200hp equals insane fast in my book...how capable either is of running 9s depends on alot...you can have all the hp you want but if you cant put it to the ground its useless. Plus a driver mod never hurts to have either....I would hope a 1200 hp Super could push 9s all day long if not lower.
As for superbikes, you cant really compare to many cars to them for them money BB is right on that one.

Took me about 500 bhp at the crank (not wheels) to go 9's.
Of course it helps when you are cutting 1.31 60's.
Of course it wasnt a Supra. Maybe they have slow horses?
