Stone629, I will gladly post a slip when we get the car finished for this round of mods and tagged and take it to a strip.

And me calling them crap is because I know several people in Dover who have popped them without pushing huge numbers. Maybe they were dumb and thought a boost controller meant you can just turn it up all the way and you're good, but the fact that I have seen more than one go makes me lean in one direction. In addition to the massive number of failures for their NA brethren.

While I have never personally known anyone's Mustang engine to pop (and yes I know plenty of people who have modded them past intake, exhaust, and tunes), I know people on here have. But that's because they boosted an NA, non built engine too high.

As for the interior, I don't really like American interiors but I do like my Mustang over a Neon. And for performance, I've acknowledged several times that there are some wicked fast SRT4's out there, I just wouldn't own one.

Although BB and I are not friends I feel as though we've bonded through this tough time in our relationship

Are ya'll making that power on stock internals?

The NA failures are a completely different everything and irrelevant. The SRT engine is capable of holding power well into the 400 wheel HP range, safely. The guys you speak of sound like they were cranking up the boost and not adding fuel. Any car is only as good as the tune it has received.

These local SRT 4 owners are why I have my impression of them and the owners that I do. They are all stupid arrogant people that blow up cars and cry abut it when they can't beat someone

Damn, nice looking build. Ought to do some damage. Its hard to say what it would do in the 1/4 mile though. Making that much power and getting it to the ground in the form of a strong 60 foot is a feat. I'd say if you guys can get it to hook, it will impress. Sounds like you guys are into other types of racing though, which is cool.

Like I said before, we're in to road courses, but we do plan to hit a strip to get a good run and keep that as our proof that it can do both roads and the strip.

There is a guy that has a lesser build than us doing 10.3's consistently on tt.net but again we have to get the power to the ground without melting the tires. We have to do what I listed above in order to drag race it properly.

The engine is a newly and fully built block with some modifications to keep it cool. On stock blocks, the cooling lines for the cylinders get narrower as you move towards the back of the block which, on high horsepower applications, was cause premature failure. So we had the shop that the block came from bore it out on both sides. Now no more issues.

The transmission needs to be replaced with a 99 Japanese 300ZX TT tranny, they're stronger than the 94's. We're almost at the limit or ours, it also has 150,000 miles on it. the trannys are pretty cheap, 600 new and they bolt right up.

Got a nice boost with the larger TB's, had the plenum openings bored to match the new TB size. Many parts were chromed which was a concern for heat build up at first but so far we haven't had that issue with the design of the under body plates and front end. Cool air gets channeled up cools very nicely. We are looking at brake ducting to go with the Stop Tech kit as well. All coolers (radiator, inter, oil, and transmission) are grossly over sized to handle the heat build up

As far as hooking, DelMar and Cecil County are not known for good track prep

I'll smoke you ALL!!!! LOL, I kid...well I could smash into u guys (since my GT is the biggest) and win. But for real, every1 needs to relax, it's all just fun and games. I've seen BB car in person, its moves and you better hope you can plant that kind of pwr to the ground.

I've smoke so many cars that I should not cuz they just sit and spin (specially those turbo civics on street tires).

That much power in a road racing car is stupid. 90% of performance on a road course is brakes and suspension. Grand Am cars are barely 400rwhp for the more powerful GT cars, and FIA GT3 cars are barely 500rwhp. Unless you can lay your power down immediately on turn exit at 50mph, you're screwed.
