Default Another what will it do thread... new SS mods

Since my last trip to the track, temps have broke a bit and I have added some more mods to my SloBalt SS/SC. On my last trip, I was only able to make two passes due to the crowd. It had a catted 3" downpipe, heat exchanger, 2.8 pulley, 60lb injectors, modded air box, and a dyno tune last time I ran. It made 240 wheel HP at the time, and ran a 13.9 at 103 mph, 2.1 60'. It was in the upper 80s when I ran.

This weekend I am returning with the addition of a shorty header (3" collector Vs the stock 2"), a larger 2.5 inch inlet/outlet glass pack in place of the stock 2" inlet/outlet resonator, as well as a welded in magnaflow muffler, and an Injen cold air intake. Any chance this thing will gain 4 tenths between the new mods and cooler temps? I know it sounds like a lot to ask for, but the car has been responding really well to mods so far. Its supposed to be in the low 70s this weekend.

Sorry for starting a thread about this instead of just running it and reporting the ETs. Its been a while since I've had time to get to the track, so I'm getting anxious.

If your easy enough going into 2nd so it won't slip and can pull a 2.1 60 again or better I would guess ... 13.5 @ 106

I've got the slip (kind of) under control. I have to completely lift off the throttle, get off the clutch hard, then punch it again. It will hold as long as the clutch is completely engaged before I get back on the gas. A new clutch is going in, its just a high dollar fix, and I had a few other things I had to cover first so it got put on hold for awhile. I'm looking at the Exedy clutches.

Sounds like you're building a monster there Stone. With the new editions and your driving skills I would bet on a Solid 13.4-13.7..

I don't know about all that, lol! ^^^

I'm going to have to either spray it or ditch the M62 Charger for a turbo, TVS, or twincharge set-up, to make a beast out of it. I believe the best anyone has done with the stock M62 is a high 12, but that was with tires, meth, pretty much everything. That's my goal to start with...... then I may try to do something to give you a run

yeah.. thats what I was thinking.. Why spend a bunch of money on a slobalt? put a few reasonable mods on it and call it good.. is what I would do.. that'd be like spending a bunch of money on a 99 GT

That 103mph is probably good for the mid 13's that you're looking for. I'd imagine you should hit that....of course, it's FWD so I am potato.

Where are you running at again?

What do you consider a bunch of money or unreasonable mods? I've got $1122 to turn a mid-low 14 second car into a mid to low 13 second car... seems kind of cheap to me, but thats jmo. Another grand in tires and a clutch will put it in the 12s most likely.

I spent right at $2200 on my S197 to run low 13s.....

I'm thinking the same thing. I'm running it in Fayetteville. How far are you from there?
