For perusal @ leisure. Here are two people with a 2011 that clipped high 11s. Intake, tune, and offroad midpipe. Stock 3.73 gearing. One was on stock pirellis and the other drag tires. 1.8 60'. And yes, manuals.

Not saying these are average times either btw. Probably some of the better drivers out there. 1.8 60' times with a manual car on stock tires has been done before by people here but also, above average skill level.

YOu haven't been watching OT enough.. I'm ordering a auto 5.0.. 3.73s(or 4.10s)+ intake+o/r x+tune is going on right away, and im keeping my drag radials.. with that combo people have gone high 11s (in manuals) I expect to be in the 12s at our track.. high 12s probably. the best times ive seen with those mods were some 11.6s-11.9s from like 8 people.

The guy claims it was 12.1@114 with slicks only.. no guarantee he is being honest or what he is leaving out..(he is claiming its the fastest stock run.. so.. who knows what else he is leaving out since he thinks changing tires is still stock) then there is the guy that went 12.2 with slicks and a hand held tuner .. (i'm not sure if that means he got a mail order tune or if he tweaked parameters with it)

my friend is running a 3200 stall 6 speed auto with slicks and skinnies with a CAI+tune ... and about 600lbs of weight reduction

his best thus far was clipped in 40-50 degree weather running 11.6 @ 119MPH

seeing what it took to hit 11.6's as a best with 11.8-11.9 being the average in the summer from a stalled auto clipping godly 60 foots these crazy *** runs claiming "CAI+tune only" just make me laugh

again, I'd check your sources on said mods and conditions... both of you

I'm not saying you can't believe it, but I'm saying if you do I'm about 90% certain you are chasing a ghost... kind of like a mach 1 trapping 112MPH with minor bolt on's

your friend has 800lbs of weight reduction? down to 2800lbs is he? that is insane.. and he should be at around 385-395whp.. with slicks and skinnys as well... something seems odd... seems like with so little weight and great traction he should be getting low 11s..

intake+tune only auto there is someone who went 12.2

also.. pepole have gotten up to 430whp out of the intake+or x+dyno tune combo

again, maybe you should check your sources on said cars modifications and who you are informed by, because this guy doesn't even have bumpers on his car... just plastic

I trust a car that I've seen being built and know exactly what is done to it from a person I trust not to BS about his actual modification and personally see him run at the track over a video online from someone I have never met in my life

I agree that assuming these aren't BS stories we're seeing here, which I doubt, for every one person who squeezes off fantastic results like that there are probably 25 others who couldn't even come close to it.

Not the normal but yes machs can trap 112 with next to nothing done it has been proven time and time again. You seem to have something against new 5.0s they are nasty cars the vid mishri posted is just some gm fan boy bs. There are plenty of 5.0s close to full wieght with minor bolt-ons running high 11s at 115+ and they have only been out for what 8 months or so?

Also I think the 03/04 cobra is a drivers race with a new 5.0 with the edge going to the 5.0
