2011 challenger SRT-8
Have you guys seen anything? Another thread got me looking into them but the forums don't seem to have anyone actually taking one to the track. They have a 6.4L making 470hp and 470tq. and Most of the mags are getting high 12s-low 13s. Someone is claiming they run 12.1 stock.. i find a full second difference in mag-to personal owner hard to believe. .5, sure... but not that much.
Any thoughts on this?
I'd also like to point out its a 46,000 base price tag compared to the 29,000 base of the 5.0 (but hey, when you want to have an awesome looking car, money is no object right?)

unfortunately the pricing is a bit high, but this is racers bench not buyers bench
When I had one for a few days it was a monster but I wasn't able to actually measure just how fast it was other than on my butt dyno. TC on with the auto getting 30% into the throttle would just spin the tires. They have decent rubber stock they just weren't sticking. I think if you put some DRs on it would improve drastically over what the mags got. There is unofficial talk of a mopar blower package that should do about 700hp at 8psi.

The Challenger is still a pig which is why the numbers it's posting are not as "impressive" as you would think. Look at the 07 GT500 you would think a car with 500Hp and nearly 500 TQ would push it C6 territory. Nope, C6 still spanks it. We won't even compare the 2007 GT500 to a ZO6.
Cost is also a factor for some buyers. The Chally is on average 5K more than a comparble Stang or Cheby for no additoinal performance. Lets not even talk about the V6 Chally, what a waste. 2011 and it's still posting 05+ mustang numbers.

haha.. good ol' youtube arguements... these just make me laugh
the SRT8s is way faster then this- private onwers have ran 12.1s already- insideline ran 12.6 and SRT euan 12.4 . the 6.1s could run 13flat easily. motor trend is just playin sandbag
high 12s my ***. and your so full of it. no stock 5.0 runs better than 12.7 . grease ball- 392s dont run high 12s. 6.1s run high 12s. this car ran 12.4 at 110 . insideline got 12.6 at 112. i cant belive your really quoting 1/4s from a mustang forums. those guys lie so much. you ford fans have no integrity
