Rolled up to a 2005ish GTO today (plate read "4CD FED").

I looked over and nodded.. he then looked over and smirked after looking my GT up and down. I then floored it at around 35-85mph, letting off giving the "whoosh" of the bypass valve.

He didn't take the bait. His girl was in the car so I don't think he wanted to run.

At the light after, he just kinda sat there, then exited.

He works at my old job and I seen his car in the parking lot before, but never spoke to him.

Is his big bad GTO really the shiet or what?? I am guessing it's a Magnacharger, LT headers etc. auto trans...

If i'm not mistaken the a basic Magnacharged 6.0 GTO will pull around 500 rwhp give or take. My buddy had a cammed 06 GTO with a 100 shot that puts down around 550 rwhp on the juice and 450 rwhp n/a. It's a really close run when i'm on the bottle and he runs n/a, and i've taken down a few blown gt's that were in the mid 400 range.

Point being, you probably gonna have you're hands full lol.

Oh I wouldn't doubt it him having a clear advantage with the 6.0 (assuming it is)..

Curious of how I would have done. Either a very close race or a rapage lol

it would have been from a 40 roll till someone pulled. I have some pretty meaty mid-top end with the Vortech, but not sure if it's enough against such a large friggin' motor.

His girl was in the car, so I am guessing I had a weight advantage somewhat...

They are a high 11 second car with a normal driver. what do you run?

I could most likely tap into the high 11s once I get some drag radials on 17's

Next week I am headed to the track on street tires.. yeah, not the best combo for killer ET's but it's just for fun this time.

The GTO driver didn't look so cocky after I took off on him. His smirk turned into a blank stare lol

He probably would've pulled some up top with the extra displacement and flatter curve, but would've been a hell of a run either way.

Judging from how my 4.10s are in my auto, with the OD off- it would be at right around 110 is where he would pass me by after being head to head against him.

He probably assumed I was just another stock mustang GT. My exhaust system is so quiet and I am pretty much stock looking..

I know a guy that has a 6.0l GTO running 11 psi making 520whp... Im not sure what kinda blower it is though, prob a magnacharger since those are the most popular with the Gm guys.... Honestly, with your mods it will be a close race although Im sure that GTO has some TQ over you.... So you prob have your hands full with that guy....

No doubt.. that thing is a beast with the 6.0 --AND and blower?? wow.. sounds like a killer combo for sure. We have the same weight cars as well.. I think..
