Doubt it, man....which confuses the Hell outta me. Why doesnt Ford offer any of these Shelbys, Rousches, or Saleens in an auto? Especially the Cobra Jet, that thing needs nothing short of a 2 speed dyno glide or 3 speed stalled auto, IMHO.

I think the fact that it has launch control will allow this car to produce much better stock tire launches than previous GT500's.

Not to split hairs but Roush and Saleen determine whether or not the car comes with an auto.

Cobra Jet is an auto.

I really hope Ford get's this one right. If I can recall, didn't a 540 HP GT500 get it's a** handed it to it by a 450 HP Corvette Grand Sport?

only the 6speed manual comes in these cars. stupid I know, I can just imagine what this car with a stalled auto would be capable of.

soldier the older gt500's seemed to be lacking. i could see that vette beating the car but it shouldn't have walked it. I remember i pulled on a '07 gt500 back in my '95. thing prolly had 100hp on me but i guess my weight advantage was too much.

I've read Ford is throwing the kitchen sink at the 13 GT500(Power, suspension, etc.) so I expect it to outrun everything but a ZR1 corvette. My guess is it'll be running 11.5@126. And I see 10.8s with drag radials.

I agree with blue beast's prediction (OP was about an experienced driver, I also assume he means a good driver). 650 hp 600 tq in like a 3700-3800lbs car? seems like ford is trying hard to prove itself as the performance per $ winner and not just in straight lines. I'm looking forward to seeing some vids of this thing in action, and how well it will take to mods. i'm sure 9s wont be that hard to hit with some fairly minor mods.

I also agree with stone about the average owners of these getting 12s. Ive seen GT500s run slower than stock GTs so...

Yep. My guess is it will be TESTED at mid to high 11s at around 125. Doubtful that most of the guys who buy it will be able to replicate these times though.
