the evo mr doesn't have a traditional automatic. It has an automated 6 speed trans with a twin disc clutch. They also have VERY tight gearing.

They arent very impressive.....definitely felt lame to me.

stock they aren't very impressive acceleration-wise, although some simple tuning can open it up a lot. They're incredible in the turns though.

Yea, I didnt really get to test in the turns at all.

Im sure you can open it up a ton, just like any other turbo car.

IDK, they seem really expensive to me....I know if I was going to go buy a 40k dollar car the evo wouldnt be at the top of my list. lol

that's why you don't buy them new. You can get one that's 2-3 years old for around 23k easily. Their value drops immensely the first couple of years and after that they seem to hold their value pretty well. Bought my 08 in 10 with 25k miles for 23k.

If I were to buy another evo I would buy a IX instead of a X. MUCH lighter cars. The 4B11-T in the 08+ are amazing motors, but the 4G63s were no slouches either.

Yea, of course...but even used they seem to be expensive little cars.

Evos are awesome but I just never expected them to be so expensive new or used when I looked into them.

03/04 cobras, supra, rx7, viper, vette etc etc....theres a lot of badass cars you can get used in the 25k range....evos just dont do it for me like any of those cars do.

only used turbo car I would consider these days would be the 335i. That thing is so easy to tune, a fricking simple chip and you are up 100hp pulling on M3's.. 335i's are gonna be like the Supras are now, in the not-to-distant future I do believe.
