Finally got my buddies car back together. i'm curioius as to what you guys think the hp/et/traps will be. its a stock cube all forged ls1 11:1cr , magic stick 4, stage 2.5 5.3 heads, ls6 intake, full exhaust, built 4l60, yank 3800 converter, 3.73's with a mild rear, and dr's. i'm guessing he should be in the 430-450whp area? just no idea what the setup's capable of track wise. here's a little start up vid from last night, was up until 4:30 am working on it. she wont idle under like 2grand and is pig rich.

He's good for 120+ traps, mid-400 rwhp range. I'd be pissed if I had that set-up and couldn't run 11.1-11.3 on a mediocre 1.7-1.8 60'.

Here's a better video of it. He got a base tune to break the motor in with. He said he's just aiming for 11's and putting down over 400 to the wheels.

5.3 heads are dirt cheap, like $200 cheap. Porting them can be expensive, but...cam, springs, pushrods, another 6-700 hundred.

I'm shopping around, almost had my hands on a set of ported 243s last night, but the guy literally sold them 2 minutes before I told him I wanted them. Those 5.3 heads are badass when ported, and they bump the compression up as well.

he's got about 2500 into his shortblock, 2200 into his trans/converter, 2k into the heads/cam/valvetrain, 1000 into his suspension and 500 into rebuilding the rear(waste of money since it'll blow soon lol), then a bunch of miscellanious, tuning, etc. he told me he'd have around 10k into it by the time it's done and on the road.

well got one car back on the road and lost another, my trans puked it's fluid out all over the highway today. not sure what gave out but sucks.
