Derf, you dumbass. You should have tried to bull**** the judge so not only could you have put that attorney's work to use, but you also would have put your job in jeopardy! Idiot! Not only are you the most dangerous driver here, but you are clearly the most irrational being evar!!! /sarcasm
What had me shaking my head about that is in VA (don't know other states), when you're convicted of a felony, you lose your right to vote as well as being stripped of other civil rights and it requires this long *** process of trying to get them back. Seems pretty serious to me, so I was scratching my head as to why 20+ over is a felony lol.

Makes no sense to me.

There has been some articles in the paper here last year about the subject of felony speeding. In the articles they stated it was when the driver tried to out run the cops (in this context). I didn't think to keep the articles.

It does not end well. This is what I remembered from the articles.
Assuming that they catch you.....

You are hit with:
Loss of license min 1 year.
Fines well into the thousands.
The State KEEPS the car (you still have to pay for it!)!
You are humiliated in the local press.

They showed a lot full of cars to be auctioned by the state. There were Vipers, Mustangs, BMWs, Porsches, Mercedes and lots of Vettes.
The author thought it was funny how many drivers had not made their first payment yet......

That is too painful to ponder....

I'm guessing its a felony to really try to discourage people from doing it...maybe there is a lot more to it than that though. Just seems like a felony would be something a lot more violent, like an armed robbery, but if doing 20+ over is a felony then one should respond accordingly.

There is no such thing as felony speeding. Eluding/Evading is a felony (as are a few other things you can pick up along the way, DUI or reckless endangerment for example) but speeding itself is not. (yet)

Thanks for pointing that out.
The part that got me is that they KEEP the car! That would definitely hurt in so many ways.....
