Would a 4.6 supercharged with an M90 (~420 rwhp) beat a new 5.0 in the 1/4 mile if all other mods were equal? The main difference being the 5 speed vs. the 6 speed.
A side note, while searching for an applicable video on youtube, I found a video of 808muscle's car at the track. It's a small world.
So supercharged, 420whp 4.6 against a stock 5.0 that has what, 370ish whp? The 4.6 should win, I believe that the 05-09 is 100 or so pounds light than the 11+ GT's too. Please correct me if I am wrong.
I would fully expect the blown 3V making 420 RWHP to trample a stock 5.0. Shouldn't be to hard to make the run a lot closer with a couple of bolt-ons and a tune for the 5 liter.
I still think the 4.6 would win just bc of the torque difference. But the only way to find out is to race. Plus driver mod would make this a close race.
