Those numbers are for a gas engine. The duramax makes 300hp at 3k and 550lb ft at 1600rpm

Not sure why you guys think these trucks are so slow. We have around 5-6 trucks run at the track nearby, 2 duramaxes that are chipped and piped, otherwise they are stock(one is my buddy) and they both run mid to low 13's. A couple dodges are running into the 10's but they are built race trucks. I almost got beat by a 1 ton older Chev last year with a solid steel welding deck on his truck, he ran a 14 sec 1/4 in a 10000+ lb truck! They are not high numbers for speed but those trucks run fast times with little work done to them.

Take it to a track, but you shouldnt have any problem. There is all of about 2 diesel trucks at the local that according to times that will beat my 6er so yeah
99percent chance its your race for the loosing.
As for the smokin, sure its fine but one its a waste of gas which doesnt matter to me, to its a huge polutant, which does matter to me and its extremely dangerous on some of those because it could cause a exhaust fire or block out vision at night
Really its just annoying when they coat your car in diesel soot
Just make sure he doesnt forget it when you burn him

Come to Texas, where the truck guys hunt for Mustangs to slaughter. 12 second deisels are a dime a dozen here. You're in Texas when some guy comes up to you at the track and asks if he can run against you in the rig he pulled his car on a trailer there with. Jus sayin...

Race him, just do it for fun, you most likely have him. Also the smoke thing is annoying, especially when its a side exhaust and not stacks... because it goes everywhere. I don't mind a nice truck but some people really make me hate trucks.
