Default Vortech 2V vs 2011 GT

Well a friend at work has a new 2011 with full exhaust (longtubes), a tune, boss intake manifold, and a tune. My mods are in my sig along with my hp and tq. So what do you guys think will be the outcome from say a 40-50 roll? and from a dig for the hell of it.

Thanks guys

MCxq 1st off, congrats on the numbers. Bro I don't know about this one. Stock they put down some really decent #'s (370/340). Starting adding bolt ons they can get over 400 pretty da** easy (Man I wish 2'vs had such luck). If I were to guess I would say he's easy over 400 rwhp. If he can drive I say he edges you out but not by much. Let us know if you guys race tho. Should be a good one!

I think you will beat him. He has about 300 lbs more weight than you do.

I'm gonna guess that he's gonna make around 420ish whp, but with the boss intake all his hp is gonna come from up top and he'll be down on torque, so try and find out what a bad spot is for him and you'll come out on top for sure. if you both get started within your powerbands and you can both drive equally, it's gonna be one hell of a good race. he's gonna for sure have more hp but like stated he also has a couple hundred pounds on you as well.

i know no one is going to believe me, but with the mods i have now in my sig , i beat a srt 8 challenger with the 6.1 hemi. He was bone stock . We was on the xway we kicked it at about mid 3rd gear and went all the way to mid 5th. His front bumper was in the middle of my front wheel and i had a passenger. his car weights about 4200 lbs and about 180 for the driver. Me and my passenger weight about 500 lbs. So hes about 4380 and me about3600 with me and my passenger. The 6.1 hemis are rated at 425 hp and me i would guess 320 hp. so their s a idea for you.

300lbs? Don't know about that one. Both cars are in the 3500-3600 range, I think. Gotta add the weight of that supercharger as well. Head unit=weight...

I thought the newer stangs were heavier than that, like around 3750 for stock or so. a stock new edge weighs between 33-3400, figure with the intercooler and head unit and all he's up another 100lbs. You could be right tho, i cant remember how much those 11's weigh.

You might be right. Look them up and you get a pretty wide range of curb weights.

My '11 GT weighed 3,580 pounds with a 1/4 tank of gas when it was 100% stock.

If the guy in the '11 GT can drive I think he definitely wins from a dig and if he can get in a good RPM range (5K +) I think he will win from a roll also.
