yup thats the guy 72. i just talked to my buddy again and i guess that wasn't even his car he was using it thru gm or some ****? i dunno, lots of different stories from everyone i talk to about it lol.
but anyways, i agree stone, i still think a 116 trap seems pretty low for the power. but then again ya never know. they dyno almost 500 at the wheels, and weighing close to 4k lbs(this correct?) i guess it could be right.
Yea, I guess if you figure the weight and +or- 500 RWHP, then a 116 trap kind of/sort of sounds a little better. Still a major let down for the money, in regards to straight line speed anyway.
I agree. I know these are stock numbers, but if im paying 60k...for a camaro, i dont want to run 12s lol. But i know theirs more reason to buy the car other then just 1/4 mile times. I just wouldnt really want to put a whole lot of money into a ZL1, just because of the model.
Id rather buy an ss and dump a little bit of money into it and run 10s...just my opinion.
I just don't get it. You wouldn't try to turn a 350lb chick into an olympic gymnast, so why try to turn +4k lb cars into handlers or straight line cars? Dodge or GM could've dropped 800lbs off there original concepts, made 100 less HP and achieved better results. Ford has the right idea.

convertible zl1's time didn't seem much better than a stock ss coupe, i think trap was 113 or something? a car with 580 hp like that should be wayyyy higher thru the traps
