cobra vs a zl1?

Its not the money or the time that bothers me, its putting so many miles on the old SS. I just cracked 20k and feel like **** for putting so many on it. She only had 10k original miles on her this time last year. Wish I could afford to just tow it up there and back!

I saw that too, saw it on test where they were trying to hit 200 MPH with one. Took heads, cam, etc to pull it off. GT500 can do it stock, lol.

i ran a auto zl1 and he ran a 12.5 against me. he might have pulled a 12.4 or 12.3 later that day but i doubt it.

^ they make auto zl1's? i was wondering how badly they heat soaked as well. it'd be interesting to see how they would do after a few highway runs, i have an oversize heat exchanger and fluid jug, so i dont heatsoak quite as bad as a stock cobra. it'd be interesting if i could get like 5 runs in on the highway and see the outcome.

Being a die hard ford guy I have to say thank god chevy still cant develop and all around packaged car (besides the zo6) because the LS engine line is definatly a better than than the ford modulars, gm just cant peice it together well for the camaro.

well i know for a fact that i raced him when he was doing his first run.
after our run he did drop a tenth to 12.6. after which i quit paying attention to him. the wow factor of seeing a car that i thought wasnt out yet was gone and my times were getting worse
i dont think chevy did anything to help the heatsoak. so you'd probably put a hurting on it
