just realised they are 10.5, no ****ing way ill find a fitting rims except thoses 800$ worthy...and that prolly require a sway bar relocation and more. dang and that must be pretty ruff on the car having such huge slick, prolly for 600+ hp setup

my car has a 28x10" slick on it with no issues. imo a 10.5" slick is similar in size to a 275/285 tire, not as big as it sounds. get some 15" v6 mustang wheels and go racing!

Greddy, wouldn't a 26" tire suit you a little better as far as gearing goes? Or are you able to break traction pretty easy with the 28s?

If they have at least 50% tread, they'll still hook. I don't see any pics of the wear indicators, so you have to go off of the seller's word that they are 50%. A 28x10.5 slick fits best on a 15x8 rim. A 15x10 is too wide for that tire in my opinion, so relocating the sway bar is not.a concern. I actually run a Hoosier QTP slick (27x11.5x15) and Hoosier recommended I run that size on a 15x8 rim as well. To clear the rims, buy a pair of racestar 15x8s with a 5.5" backspace and they will clear every part of your car, even the stock sway bar. Don't buy the racestar lugs. They are junk. Buy some McGard lugs instead.

I'd imagine with the 4.10s and M90, a 28" slick won't be too much tire for him. If it is, pulley down!

I need special lugs nuts? Btw a rims shop told me to lass by and they will couple of 15" rims to see which would fit. Would i need the hoosier with it for the test or if i get a rims working n fiting along that mean it will fit with the hoosier? Asking cuz im planning to try rims and if something work id go buy the slick.

Most drag rims use a different style lug nut than stock. Race stars use a shank style lug with a washer. If you're using a different offset/backspacing than is common for S197s, you may need to mount the hoosiers to be sure they clear the fender lip and bump stop bracket. If you know the width and backspacing of the rims you plan to use, I can tell you if the tire will clear, but if it's not a brand of rim commonly used on S197s, then you'll still have to mount the rim to be sure it clears the brakes, etc.
