Default 3.7 vs SHO. Both mine.

I just brought home a 2013 ruby red SHO. It sure does seem strong off the line but I suspect it pushes a lot of air at 100+. My stang runs 13.9`s in summer heat.

What would happen if I put them on the track in a race? I will track the SHO as soon as they open here. SHO is stock!

The owner of our place ran either low 14's or high 13's stock with his. You should really bring it in for some work, our tunes have picked up 50whp/75ftlbs. I actually just got done doing upgraded billet wheel turbos, our downpipes, corsa catback, cai, and meth on a '13 this past week, should be getting tuned soon, I'll have to post up what the results are.

Basically, a tune only will put the taurus ahead IMO.

I just worked on a 2010 today, It already had a corsa catback and airaid cai, I added some of our (livernois) catted downpipes and it got retuned and it made 360/395 hp/tq. I know it baselined 283whp or something. Most of that power is from the tune also.

Thanks for the info ctgreddy. I most certainly will be having it tuned where you are. Right now money going to ammo for the USPSA and steel challenge shooting seasons. As soon as I know I have enough components for the season I`ll PM you and set something up!! Right now the SHO feels a little faster than the Vert. I would like to get to Martin today if it quits SNOWING for a baseline run.

Since this is a lease I won`t make other changes unless and untill I decide to buy it. Right now I am leaning toward the buy but I have a while to decide.

I would love to see the SHO get tuned and some track results posted up. I've heard the Flex can pull some decent times with a tune too. That V6 ECOBoost is a bad azz set-up. Just wish they would offer it in the Mustang.

Off topic, but where are you finding ammo?

The owner of the shop DD's a sho, and I was told that when we had our last track outting he returned it to stock, ran it, got bottom 14's(like i said above), then just put his tune back in and was knocking on 12's. These cars pick up a lot of torque. An explorer we did with the v6 got an intake and a tune, it only picked up 30whp but it picked up 95 ft lbs.

z28, the only 4cyl i've seen in the shop so far is an ST, I doubt we'll be offering a mail order tune for the 4cyl ecoboost since we'd have to get one in to mess with it for a while before they'd develope a tune for it.

OK I have the answer. I went to US131 today and made 6 runs with the SHO. Car has 983 miles on it and is 4335 lbs without me on the scales there. Temp was 41 and air was fairly dry.

The best and worst runs follow. I need to review how to post the slips before I can but here are the facts, which suprised me.

The.. worst best

60 ft 2.0459 2.0075
330 5.7014 5.6436
1/8et 8.7326 8.6689
1/8mph 81.81 82.11
1/4et 13.5061 13.4236
1/4mph 103.70 104.08

As I said, suprised me. I figured about low 14`s or high 13`s
Anyway I am happy,happy,happy!

No traction problems makes it easy to get down there pretty consistantly.
