So I rode out in our new Fusion last night to see if anyone was hanging out. I ran across my brother and a few buddies and decided to shoot the **** for a second. There was a guy out looking for a run, and apparently my name was brought up before I had showed up.

Not sure if its an 03 or 04, but its a pullied/full exhaust car on street tires. He claims to spin through 3rd, yet he wants a dig run...... I told him I would only run from a dig, and if I'm on a tire.

If he does indeed spin that bad, I may get a good enough jump on him to hold him off to 90-100, then its game over lol. I say if I can stay within ~3 cars up to 120, that would make for an honorable death.

Am I being too optimistic about this? I FULLY expect to get yanked once his rubber starts grabbing. I say I get him through the '8th mile', but then he freight trains me up top. I'd love to catch him at the 8th mile track this Saturday, but I don't think I can pull it off.

Who woulda thought ya'll would ever be bench racing a v6 against a Termi?

Again, I fully entirely expect an L, just curious what ya'll have to say.

Measure out an 1/8 mile and don't go any farther and you got a good shot.

That's what I'm thinking. If he spins THAT bad, and I hook like I normally do, I should have 3 cars or so before he starts hooking. Then he'd give me the Hoover action and fly on by lol.
Realistic for the first 5-600ft lol. He won't be getting a roll race out of me! (Ya'll know that's a lie lol)

I think you will probably jump out on him, but by the time you bang 2nd there's a good chance he is going to be coming around ya. Unless he is literally spinning every gear.

I know what this guy goes thru, my car spins thru 1st and 2nd. Personally I think You're gonna yank him off the line and playing catch up sucks, You might really surprise him and yourself if he spins like he says.

Make sure he's not just trying to embarass you tho, not many guys with a street tire cobra are going to ask for a dig. He might show up with some dr's and put a whoopin on the sixxer.

Well, its not a matter of me getting embarrassed. If he was to stomp me in the ground, it happens sometimes lol. It's hard to be embarrassed by a Termi of any nature when driving a v6, I'm just happy to be close enough to the same league to have a glimmer of hope of staying in the same zip code.

All this said, I've been pretty good about my bench racing coming through, but this one isn't, not this weekend anyways. Turns out Me, z28th1s, and 89lx are heading down to Fayetteville tomorrow to see what we can do! 8 hours of driving for 5 hours of racing is kinda crazy, but I've done it before!

This is like the Cubs making the postseason and playing the Yankees for the Series.

If the Yankees win, no big deal, it was totally expected..really nothing to gain...and the Cubs were expected to lose anyways.
