Default 1/4 mile time estimates

My 1990 gt makes 296/285 and i have 4:10 gears (manual). Id say im an above average driver and with me in the car id say it weighs about 3300 and change because im a heavy 240 pounds with clothing. Want some thoughts and opinions ofcourse ill be on a decent radial. Most likely a 275 mickey thompson et street set of tires. Im hoping i can be in the 12's with ease

Yeah, easy 12's. My car made 300/320, T5 with 3:55's. I pulled a 12.4 at 108.5 on my last test and tune. My car weighs alittle less, 2750 on the track scale. And somehow I knocked off a 1.64 60ft with a lowered car. No drag suspension. That was my second time at the track after my T5 swap so still learning.

P.S. I'd lose the clothing if you want to save some weight. lol

haha yea im a tall guy and working out is a part of my life so only way to lose weight would be to starve myself and lose mass. Benefit to myself but not racing haha. I forgot to mention i have eibach drag springs and lakewood 50/50 shocks. Im planning to throw a vortech on it i want the next 100 whp mark at 400. If anything ill drive it and let my lighter friends drive it down the track lol

I'm going to go with 12.7@108. The gears & tires will help a ton.

I'd say 12.2-12.5@108-111 depending on 60' and how well you hit the gears. I went 12.32@108.7 on a 1.64 60. My motor was slowly dying and wouldn't pull past 5100, race weight was 3095 with me in it and I'm 320 pounds myself. Just get out there and practice!

Btw what motor mods do you have??

My guess is a 12.75 @ 107.5 MPH.

haha we actually spoke on an older post. Trickflow twisted wedge heads unported, trickflow stage 1 cam, Trickflow upplower street manifold, 24# injectors, unknown cold air intake hooker long tubes, bbk offroad h pipe, mac mufflers no cats no emmissions smog delete ac delete, Tremec 3550 tranny, i have an aftermarket clutch but its unknown pretty stiff actually makes shifting fast trickier at times because of the notchy way the 3550 shifts and the stiffness of the clutch and the car has been dyno tuned very rich. basically the full trickflow setup with full bolt ons and tune. Im the guy whose car was running horrible and slow. It was the timing being off by 10 degrees, dirt mas air and the distributor was off set a bit so i wasnt getting nearly the power i should have. Car made 267/307 with the stock cam and no tune after cam and tune it came out to 296/285 i was a little dissapointed in the torque loss but the supercharger should be coming soon and i hope to run about 10psi and im dreaming of making about 430ish to the wheels with over 400tq.

26x8 ET Drags, mounted on Welds, big and littles. I never ran slicks before this year so I'm still playing around with my launch. But man what a feeling when a car hooks at the lights.

Yea i remember talking to you i just couldn't remember what all you had done other than trickflow heads and I thought you had the stock cam. I thought you were making the 297 on the stock cam i was gonna say thats real damn good! Haha

Kinda strange the torque came down after the cam swap but still respectable numbers. Glad you figured you power issue out, timing can kill or make a car for sure. Go out and get your baseline 1/4 times and get the blower on there and head on back to see the gains!
