Default Potential run: 3.7 v6 vs L99 'Maro

Let me start off by saying I'm pretty sure the other guy has this one, this is just a question of by how much.

Little backstory. Me and this fella ran back when I had intake/tune/midpipe/gears, and pulled him slightly through top of 3rd, pretty short sprint from a low 1st gear roll.

That was last year. Now he has full exhaust and tune, as far as I know. I have since gone with full exhaust myself, plus ported the stock tb.

After seeing BB's posts, I understand just how much a tune does for those cars. With the exhaust work too, he should be a little quicker then my 12.71 @ 109, but I'm just wondering how much quicker do ya'll think? I'm guessing 1.5-2 cars from a low roll up to 120?

Of course, ideally, I would catch him at the track on street tires while I'm on my Racestar setup. Between me being pretty good on the tree and being on slicks, I would def have the advantage there, lol.

So, all different scenarios, what's the outcome look like to ya'll? I'm guessing ~2 cars from a roll, and tires determine the dig race......

I agree with your guess on the outcome. If he tuned his converter to lock up midway through 3rd gear, then expect him to start pulling a lot harder once that happens. Personally, I think if he holds a gear anywhere below/around 40 mph at 4k or more RPM, theres a good chance he'll spin some. Should be a damn interesting run.

does he have longtubes? If so then i think your guesses will be right. if he has stock manifolds or shorties then I'm gonna say it'll be a drivers race with the odds slightly in his favor.

I bolted long tubes on the wife's Camaro today and did a little more transmission tuning. If feels like a different car. I'm hoping to be 12.7ish at around 110 on the P-zeros. Should be a heck of a race for ya.

Yes. Biggest pain is trying to get the car high enough in the air to fit the headers into the engine wells. Took about 5 hours.
